02The photographer

It began with a kingfisher.

Watching a common kingfisher made Michal pick up a camera in 2012. Today his favourite subjects are animals many people still fear — reptiles and amphibians.

He photographs them to break old prejudices and show their irreplaceable role in nature, even right beside our homes. He also helps monitor large carnivores and birds of prey with Slovak experts.
